Stella Dancer Expectations

At Stella, we expect our dancers to be respectful, responsible, kind, and ready to learn. Work hard, support your teammates, and have fun!

Before Class

Arrive early enough to be dressed, prepared, and ready to dance when class begins.
Follow the dress code and bring your dance shoes and a full water bottle.
Store jackets, outside shoes, dance bags, and other belongings in the designated areas.
Once your outside shoes are off, please wear socks or dance shoes—no bare feet on the carpet.
Use quiet voices in the halls and be respectful of classes already in session.
Use the bathroom before class.
Wait in the Dancer's Lounge or lobby until it is time for class.

Come into class with a positive attitude and give your best effort.
Listen when your teacher is speaking and watch when they are demonstrating.
Be a supportive teammate. Watch, encourage, and clap for others while they are dancing.
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Take care of our studio. Do not touch the mirrors, hang on the barres, or pick at floor tape.
No outside shoes, food, or gum in the studios. Water bottles are welcome!
At the end of class, clap and say thank you to your teacher, your teammates, and yourself for a great class!
