Information & Policies

Please register for classes as soon as possible. Spots will not be held without a registration fee, September tuition, and online student waiver. Registration fees are $25 per student or $35 per family.

  • Students must be at least 3 years old by September 1st to register in our regular season classes.

  • If a class does not have at least 4 students enrolled by September 5th, the class will be cancelled and refunds will be given at that time.

  • There are no refunds on registration fees.

  • New students will be accepted through November if there is space available.

  • If your dancer chooses to withdraw from the program anytime after October 31st, tuition for the month in which he or she drops still needs to be paid and there will be a $25 drop fee.

Classes will run from September thru May with Holiday breaks that do not necessarily follow the school schedule. There are no refunds for missed classes. Attendance is critical to the development and discipline of dance. It is very important that students attend as many classes as possible. If a student is injured, they are more than welcome to come and

watch class, but if they are sick and contagious, please stay at home and rest. Having a healthy body is number one!! Please call or email in advance when a student must miss a class. During the final four weeks before the recital, it is unacceptable to miss a class unless for health reasons.

Students will be placed in classes based on age and skill/experience level, which is determined by our staff.

Observing classes is not allowed except on predetermined dates. We will let you know in advance what days are reserved for observation.

Pictures will be held in the month of March. Students must wear their costumes and be in the picture even if they will not be ordering any photos.

Please use the bathroom before entering the classroom. If small children cannot go to the bathroom by themselves, please stay in the lobby area to help them if need be. This also goes for students who have any kind of separation anxiety. We will do our best in class, but cannot have extra staff available if your child needs help outside of the classroom.

Discipline Actions

  • Child gets a verbal warning and is redirected.

  • Verbal warning is reiterated.

  • Child must sit and watch class for 3-5 minutes (usually during a fun game).

  • Child needs to sit in lobby with parent.

After the situation is over, the teacher will discuss what happened with the child and help the child brainstorm ways to prevent it from happening again. If you feel like it would be a good idea to stay in the lobby for your child, please do. The teachers will always be able to explain to you how your child is behaving in class.

Tuition

For everyone’s convenience, we will be using an automated recurring billing system. If you wish to pay by cash or check, you can do so before the 5th of each month. On the 5th of each month, we will run the credit card on file for the remaining balance. Therefore, everyone must have a credit or debit card on file with the studio. This should eliminate any late charges and past due accounts.

  • A $15 late fee will be charged to your account if it is not paid by the 5th. This $15 late fee will be charged weekly until the account is paid.

  • Need help paying your account? Please reach out to Stephanie Boden at stelladancestaff@gmail.com to set up a payment plan and avoid any late fees.

  • You can login to your account at stelladancestudio.com at any time to view your balance or make a payment.

  • If a student wishes to discontinue their membership in a class, you must pay for that full month, as we do not charge per class. There will also be a $25 drop fee if the dancer decides to drop after October 31st.

  • There are no refunds for weather cancellations. Please watch for the Prescott School District closings, which will indicate Stella to be closed as well.

  • For every other child in the family, there is a discount of $5 per month.

  • Costumes are ordered in November for the May recital and payment is due on November 1st. They will be $70 each and all students will need one costume per class unless they are in the competition lines. This payment is non-refundable and will not be ordered without payment. Students need a costume for pictures in March and the recital in May.

Private lessons:

  • Private lessons are available for $52/hour.

  • If you cancel less than·24 hours in advance, you will be charged $30.

  • If we do not hear from you and you do not show up for your lesson, you will be charged the full price of the lesson.

We understand that many people come from different studios and have different color shoes. These are fine to wear for the first part of the season, but by January 1st your student must have the correct pair of shoes for pictures and the recital.
