Stella Regular Season Class
Information and Policies

The information below applies to our regular season classes (recreational and pre-comp) unless otherwise noted. Competition dancers should refer to their contract and handbook for team-specific policies, fees, and expectations.

General Information

Our regular season runs September–May. Studio breaks may differ from local school calendars.

Dancers must be at least 3 years old in September.

Class placement is based on age/grade, skill, and experience and is determined by our staff.

Classes require at least 4 dancers to run. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, applicable tuition payments will be refunded.

Registration fees are non-refundable.

New dancers may enroll through November if space is available and costumes can still be ordered.

Regular classes are closed to observers. Special observation dates, if available, will be shared with families.

If a dancer withdraws after November 30, tuition for the month in which they withdraw is still due, along with a $30 drop fee.

Attendance

Consistent attendance helps dancers progress and keeps classes on track. If your dancer is injured but able to attend, we encourage them to observe class. If they are sick or contagious, please stay home and rest!

Please log absences through your Stella account in advance. View instructions for reporting an absence here.

Attendance is especially important during the final four weeks before any performance. Please avoid absences during this time unless your dancer is sick or an absence is unavoidable.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Restrooms

We encourage dancers to build independence at the studio when they're ready! Please follow the guidelines below for arrival and pick-up:

  • 1st Grade & Under: Please wait in the lobby with a parent/guardian until a teacher gets your dancer for class. A parent/guardian should also come into the lobby for pick-up.

  • 2nd–5th Grade: Dancers may be dropped off and wait independently in the Dancer’s Lounge before class. A parent/guardian should come into the lobby for pick-up.

  • 6th Grade+: Dancers may wait independently in the Dancer’s Lounge before class and may leave the studio independently after class once their ride has arrived.

Dancers using the Dancer’s Lounge should be comfortable waiting independently and able to follow studio expectations. If your dancer isn't quite ready for that independence, you're always welcome to wait with them in the lobby.

If your dancer may need help using the restroom or with separation, please remain in the lobby during class so you're available if needed.

Please encourage dancers to use the restroom before class whenever possible.

Studio 1: Restrooms are located in the Dancer’s Lounge.

Studio 2: Restrooms are located in the upstairs hallway.

Being Kind to Our Neighbors

We share our building with other businesses and want to be great neighbors! While you're at the studio, we ask families to wait in our lobby and avoid gathering or hanging out in other areas of the building.

Children who are at the studio but not participating in class must remain with an adult at all times. Please do not allow siblings or other children to wander the building or wait outside of the Stella lobby without adult supervision.

Thank you for helping us keep our shared spaces safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone!
